In the second COE bidding exercise for November, COE premiums see no significant change, with prices hovering around the same level as the previous tender.
Premiums for Cat A, for cars up to 1,600cc in engine capacity and with an output of no more than 130bhp, decreased by $321 (0.68 percent) and ended at $46,791.
Premiums for Cat B, larger cars with more than 130bhp or engine displacements larger than 1,600cc, went down by $24 (0.04 percent) and ended at $57,390.
In Cat E, the open category, prices rose by $501 (0.88 percent), with premiums closing at $57,501.
One reason why COE prices are remaining around the same level as the previous tender could be the fact that many vehicle buyers have already made their purchases prior to Cars@Expo. This could have resulted in reduced demand for new cars this time round.
