Automobili Lamborghini held the APAC premiere of the Lamborghini Urus in Singapore yesterday at the ArtScience Museum in Marina Bay Sands. The event marked the Urus' first appearance outside Italy, a week after its global premiere at Lamborghini's headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese.
Touted as the world's first Super Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), the Urus carves a new niche for the brand in the luxury segment, setting new benchmarks across performance, driving dynamics and design.
To celebrate the momentous occasion, 122 Lamborghini cars took to the streets in Singapore on 10th December, breaking the record in Asia for the largest number of Lamborghini cars in a convoy.
Owners drove along the busiest districts of Orchard Road and Scotts Road with many passers-by stopping to admire the impressive sight of the Lamborghini parade.
The Urus was built upon a visionary approach that combines the Lamborghini DNA with the most versatile vehicle, the SUV.
It also elevates the SUV to an unprecedented level - to be a Super SUV - with its power, performance, design, driving dynamics as well as daily usability in a range of environments.
The Urus features a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine delivering 641bhp and 850Nm torque. The Urus accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 305km/h. It also has a four-wheel drive system with active torque vectoring and four-wheel steering for perfect handling.
Carbon ceramic brakes, adaptive air suspension and active roll stabilisation offer maximum safety and comfort. And in the Urus, there are up to six different driving modes, plus an EGO mode available via the 'Tamburo' driving dynamics selector
"We're extremely proud to showcase the Urus for the first time in Singapore, followed by other Asian markets. Singapore is one of the key markets for us and the debut reinforces Lamborghini's long-term commitment here.Carbon ceramic brakes, adaptive air suspension and active roll stabilisation offer maximum safety and comfort. The Urus is expected to drive significant sales volume in 2018. Feedback from our customers has been very positive and some have already placed orders for the first allocation of units in 2018," said Mr. Andrea Baldi, General Manager of Lamborghini Asia Pacific.
First customers in Singapore will receive the delivery of the Urus in Spring 2018, at the suggested retail price of $798,000 (not including COE).
