The all new Lexus LS was launched and unveiled by Chief Designer Koichi Suga in Singapore today at the Singapore Wine Vault. Into its fifth generation, the all new LS flagship sedan reflects a strong, uniquely Japanese identity and approach to luxury.
Built on the company's new GA-L global architecture for luxury vehicles first seen in the Lexus LC, the premium rear-wheel drive platform will offer an enhanced dynamic experience on the road.
The all new Lexus LS is available in three powertrains; a 3.5-litre V6 naturally aspirated engine, an all new 3.5-litre V6 twin-turbocharged engine, and a 3.5-litre V6 engine with Multi Stage Hybrid System.
Just as the original LS that launched the Lexus brand, the all new LS continues the brand's dynamic direction. Each generation of LS sedans leads up to the iteration of luxury, craftsmanship, performance and safety, with a more emotional design and engaging road performance.
To create the all new LS, Lexus took the approach of starting anew, reimagining what a flagship sedan should be, as if launching the brand all over again. The goal was not to improve on what Lexus has done, but to exceed the expectations of global luxury customers.
The all new LS is also the first Lexus sedan with a six-side window design and flush-surface windows smoothly integrated with the side pillar.
The concept for the interior space was a front-seat area that gently envelops the occupants and enhances driver concentration while driving, as well as a roomy rear-seat area that boosts comfort.
Based on the human-centred approach, vehicle functions are located around the driver making it possible to access and control them without changing posture or line of sight. This improves concentration and pursues excellent safety.
Taking a different approach to the seat design, the team searched for a chair that provides the ultimate support and comfort. They considered both the door trim and centre armrests as part of the seats in pursuit of a seat design that allows a full immersive experience of a real chair.
The unique construction of the door trim that stretches from the instrument panel creates a spacious impression. Additionally, a thin, rectangular wood ornamentation panel that resembles traditional Japanese bentwood is positioned vertically.
The wave-like quilted sections spread from the ornamentation panel across the door to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.

The all new Lexus LS will also be the first model in Singapore to offer the Lexus Safety System+.
It extends the range of active systems available to the driver to help mitigate accidents, covering the risks presented by the most common types of accidents.
Lexus Safety System+ operates by combining information from omnidirectional sensors around the vehicle, including stereo cameras, monitoring all operating situations from parking manoeuvres to collision avoidance.
At the same time, the LS' robust structure provides a high degree of passive safety to protect occupants in a collision, and is equipped with 12 airbags.
More importantly, in addition to the vehicle height adjustment function of the LS' chassis control technology known as Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management, which can be switched between Normal and High settings, access mode automatically raises the vehicle by 30mm to make ingress and egress easy.

Lexus LS350 V6 3.5 F Sport - $450,800
