Ital Auto, Ferrari's official dealer in Singapore, has unveiled the new Portofino - a true Ferrari GT that combines luxury, versatility and comfort.

Representing the perfect combination of luxury, versatility and on-board comfort, the Ferrari Portofino is the new GT that's set to dominate its segment. Launched to Singapore clients last Thursday, the Ferrari Portofino was first unveiled to the world at the Frankfurt International Motor Show last year.

Quad tailpipes round up the sportiness of the new Ferrari
Over 200 VIPs, including the Ferrari Owner's Club Singapore, owners, their guests and special members of the press, gathered to catch the unveiling. The Guest of Honour, Italian Ambassador to Singapore, H.E. Mr Raffaele Langella, and CEO of Ferrai Far and Middle East, Mr. Dieter Knechtel, unveiled the car with a specially crafted video and presentation.

Ferrari has chosen a particularly evocative moniker for this exceptionally versatile drop-top car, referencing one of Italy's most beautiful towns.

Portofino is renowned for its charming tourist port and, over the years, has become internationally synonymous with elegance, sportiness and understated luxury. The launch colour of the new Ferrari has also been dedicated to this marvellous town: Rosso Portofino.

Thanks to a slew of new features, including a new steering, the cabin focuses on comfort for occupants
Capable of unleashing a massive 592bhp and sprinting from 0-100km/h in just 3.5 seconds, the Ferrari Portofino is the most powerful convertible to combine the advantages of a retractable hard-top, a roomy boot and generous cockpit space plus two rear seats suitable for short trips.

The characteristic Ferrari V8 soundtrack has also been further enhanced and can be fully appreciated, particularly in top-down driving.

According to Dieter during an interview, he said that the Portofino is targeted at a younger audience and is a lifetsyle car that can do everything the younger drivers would like it to do.

That comes as no surprise, considering this model is designed for enjoying daily driving and converts from an authentic Berlinetta in an open-top Spider in just 14 seconds even in low-speed driving.

More importantly, the new car focuses on on-board comfort. Thanks to an infotainment system with a 10.2-inch touchscreen display, a new air-conditioning system, a new steering wheel, 18-way adjustable electric-powered seats, all on board will enjoy royal comfort. All passengers will also appreciate the new wind deflector, which can cut air flow inside the cabin by 30 percent and reduce aerodynamic noise in open-top driving.
