The Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross team ventures north this weekend as the Americas Rallycross Championship makes its inaugural visit to the Trois-Rivieres circuit in Quebec, Canada for the third round of the 2018 championship.

Coming off a nearly flawless race meeting at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, Scott Speed hopes to extend his narrow championship lead over teammate and COTA third-place finisher Tanner Foust.

Speed is at the top of the championship tables after his second-place finish in the No. 41 Oberto Circle K Beetle Rallycross at the season opening round at Silverstone, granting him a familiar points position before round three at Trois-Rivieres. While Foust's COTA weekend didn't result in a visit to the top step of the podium, the multiple rallycross champion believes fortune may smile on the No. 34 Rockstar Energy Drink Beetle Rallycross at Trois-Rivieres, a track at which he has competed before.
