Motor Image Enterprises has launched the highly anticipated fifth generation all new Subaru Forester in Singapore. The all new Forester will be showcased to the public over the weekend at the iconic endurance event, the Subaru Car Challenge, at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza and at The Cars@Expo (27 to 28 October).
The new cabin employs higher-quality plastics, soft-touch materials, and a larger 8.0-inch media display
The all new Forester is built on the new Subaru Global Platform and features EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. Both are key components of the four Subaru Core Technologies, which include Subaru's iconic Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Boxer Engine.
A new 2.0-litre direct-injection boxer engine (154bhp, 196Nm of torque) powers the all new SUV, improving horsepower while boosting fuel efficiency. A new continuously variable transmission with seven-speed manual mode enhances acceleration and fuel efficiency.
The Forester's X-MODE function elevates driving performance on more challenging terrain and can be easily activated with a new dial-switch, for greater convenience across different road conditions. The hill descent control function also helps drivers maintain low speed on downhill slopes.
Boot space has been expanded to a total of 1,775 litres, a 251-litre increase over the outgoing car, with a wider 1,300mm rear gate opening Active Torque Vectoring enables drivers to control their vehicles exactly as intended, for outstanding cornering stability and hazard avoidances. The brakes are applied to the inner wheels, distributing more torque to the outer wheels when making sharp turns.

The Forester offers excellent road clearance with minimum ground clearance of 220mm. Raised roof rails with added tie-down points offer more loading options - especially useful for off-road adventures to neighbouring countries.

The redesigned interior of the Forester serves to elevate driver and passenger comfort. Features include added rear leg room, USB charging ports and air-conditioning vents behind the centre console. The instrument panel comes with a 6.3-inch LCD colour Multi-Function Display, presenting information in an easy-to-read form.
