The all new Skoda Karoq, a compact SUV boasting generous space and state-of-the-art technology, is now on sale in Singapore.

The all new Skoda Karoq compact SUV has officially been launched in Singapore, with the launch event held today (9 November) at the Skoda Centre Singapore at 26 Leng Kee Road.

The VarioFlex rear seat system of the Karoq offers a great amount of flexibility in the cabin
The Karoq's emotive and dynamic design charasterises the brand's new SUV design language. The front fascia features geometrically-shaped LED head lights in a clear glass design, as well as the trapezoid radiator grille typical of Skoda, framed by chrome trim. At the rear, there are full LED tail lamps as well.

With its long 2,638mm wheelbase, the Karoq delivers generous space for all passengers. Practical solutions in the car also make life easier for all occupants, in line with the brand's 'Simply Clever' byline.

This includes the new VarioFlex rear seat system. The second row of seats are comprised of three individual seats that can each be folded down independently, as well as be removed completely. The generous 521-litre boot can be expanded to a maximum of 1,810 litres by removing all three rear seats.

The Karoq's 1.5-litre TSI engine produces 148bhp and 250Nm of torque
Other 'Simply Clever' features include a front multi-function cup holder, a removable LED flashlight in the boot, folding trays on the back of the front seats, as well as a retractable parcel shelf. The Karoq's cabin also comes equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology.

The top 'Style' trim comes equipped with a 9.2-inch 'Columbus' navigation system, ambient lighting, a 'Canton' sound system, a phone box with wireless charging and a power driver seat with memory function.

Additionally, the Karoq also features a wealth of safety and assistance systems. The entry-level 'Ambition' trim comes equipped with electronic stability control, cruise control, rear-view camera and park distance control, while the 'Style' trim also adds front assist with city emergency brake, as well as blind spot detect with rear traffic alert.

ACT kicks in between 1,250rpm and 4,000rpm, between 25Nm and 100Nm of torque, and at speeds of up to 130km/h
Powering the Karoq is a 1.5-litre TSI engine boasting high power output and low fuel consumption.

The engine sends 148bhp and 250Nm of torque to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox, allowing the Karoq to accelerate from 0-100km/h in a respectable nine seconds.

The engine also features Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), which shuts off two of the four cylinders when operating at low load, helping to improve the SUV's fuel economy.

The Skoda Karoq Ambition has an Open Market Value (OMV) of approximately $23,000, while the Karoq Style has an OMV of approximately $27,000.

Price as of press time (inclusive of COE)

    Skoda Karoq 1.5 TSI Ambition (A) - $112,900
    Skoda Karoq 1.5 TSI Style (A) - $122,900
