The Toyota Camry continues to strengthen its reputation as an award-winning car. The newly launched eighth generation Camry was awarded a five-star safety rating from the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP).

This marks the first time that the Camry has undergone this test under ASEAN NCAP and is testament to the company's continuous efforts to improve occupant protection and associated safety standards, making the car a timeless favourite amongst drivers.

The enhanced safety features responsible for Camry earning the new accolade include Toyota's Safety Sense (TSS) and its suite of safety systems and technologies, the Advanced Airbag System and Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) technology. Full details of the new Camry's test results from the ASEAN NCAP will be shared on 12 February 2019.
