Ducati Singapore launches Diavel 1260 and 1260 S

The Singapore debut of the Ducati Diavel 1260 and 1260 S took place at WAN Singapore, a local nightspot located in the heart of Suntec City. To the delight of a 400-strong Ducatisti crowd, this is also the first launch party to be hosted outside the Ducati Singapore showroom since the new dealership takeover by the Wearnes Automotive group in 2017.

Powerful and muscular, the new Diavel 1260 combines the performance of a maxi-naked with the ergonomics of a muscle cruiser. Its iconic and visionary design boasts an award-winning style - landing the prestigious international 'Red Dot Award 2019: Best of the Best' in the Product Design category.

The Diavel melds its contemporary and iconic silhouette with a new 1,262cc Ducati Testastretta Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT) engine that produces 157bhp and 126Nm of torque.

With its ability to deliver steady pulling power from the low-medium rev range, it ensures robust engine response as and when needed. 

Thanks to the DVT variable timing system, which acts continuously on the intake and exhaust camshafts, the engine adjusts power delivery to suit riding conditions - extremely smooth at low revs, assertively sporty at high revs. This engine also provides a clean, classy side view with a quality finish.

The new Diavel 1260 S also comes standard with Ducati Quick Shift, the system that lets the rider shift gear without using the clutch, which translates into superior riding pleasure and comfort, especially in urban routes.

An upgraded chassis set-up makes the Diavel 1260 more responsive on mixed-road routes while combining technologically advanced electronics and high-performance braking enhanced by the Bosch Cornering ABS, as well as user-friendly engine performance controls.

Comfort levels for rider and passenger remain outstanding with an upright riding position and a large, generously padded seat.
