Mercedes-Benz Vans presented the Concept EQV as a study at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019. Now the series version of the Mercedes-Benz EQV is celebrating its debut. The next member of the Mercedes EQ family combines emissions-free mobility with impressive driving abilities, high functionality and aesthetic design as the first fully-electric premium MPV from Mercedes-Benz.
The Mercedes-Benz EQV will be displayed to the public for the first time at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show from 12 to 22 September.
The electric drivetrain of the Mercedes-Benz EQV, comprising of the 150kW electric motor, transmission, cooling system and power electronics, are situated on the front axle under the front of the car as a highly integrated, compact unit. Power is provided by a lithium-ion battery under the floor of the vehicle that allows the vehicle to achieve a top speed of 160km/h.
DC charging using the series-standard CCS charger will require less than an hour to charge from 10% to 80%, and provide for 405km of range. As standard the EQV is also equipped with a water-cooled on-board charger with a capacity of 11kW, making it suitable for AC charging at home or at public charging stations.

As a private vehicle, the EQV will provide a multitude of seating configurations for families, or serve as a shuttle vehicle providing high-quality transportation of people with a comfortable and quiet driving experience. A flexible floorplan facilitates installation of either individual or bench seats, allowing the EQV to be converted into a seven or even an eight-seater.
In order to maximise range, the EQV also charges its batteries when on the move. When braking, vehicular momentum is converted into electrical energy and used to charge the high-voltage battery. Drivers will also able to influence the recuperation level using paddles behind the steering wheel.

The design theme is continued in the interior, where the cool aesthetic is complemented by warm accents such as the rose gold dashboard, delivering a 'welcome home' effect. The heart of the interaction between driver and machine is the intuitive Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX), which combines a 10-inch touchscreen with learning voice operation and innovative connectivity features.
