2019 marks the 10^th anniversary of Ital Auto opening its doors in Singapore as the official importer for Ferrari. Additionally, it is also the landmark 90^th birthday of Scuderia Ferrari, the world's oldest and most successful racing team. 

This pair of milestone celebrations were celebrated at a grand event held at Como Dempsey on Thursday, 19 September. Over 300 privileged customers and guests were on hand to partake in the festivities to mark this special occasion. Adding an extra shine to the evening, Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto and Formula One driver Charles Leclerc were also present to share Scuderia Ferrari's plans ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix. 

As he reflected on the decade, which saw the blossoming dealership recognised by Ferrari as the Dealer of the Year in 2018 for the South-east Asia and Korea region, Mr. Teo Hock Seng, Executive Chairman of Ital Auto and Komoco Holdings, said, "It was a challenging task to take up the mantle as the exclusive Ferrari dealer in Singapore as there are exceptional standards to live up to but it was a test we readily accepted. Ferrari cars are pedigree machines that are the stuff of dreams and Ital Auto has the people with the passion and drive to do the Prancing Horse badge proud. The dealership's strong performance is testament to Ital's relentless commitment to uphold the brand's iconic image."

Mr. Dieter Knechtel, CEO of Ferrari Far East and Middle East Hub, added, "After its inception in 2009, Ital Auto has quickly established itself as one of Ferrari's best-performing dealers. They can be counted on to deliver the highest standards and best practices when it comes to sales, marketing and aftersales. And they had truly come of age when they were awarded the Dealer of the Year from the South-east Asia and Korea region for 2018, proving that a small market can produce mighty results."

The celebratory event also saw the official Asia debut of the brand new Ferrari SF90 Stradale. The SF90 Stradale is Ferrari's first series-production plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, and it has raised the bar in terms of performance, technology and design. The turbocharged V8 engine and three electric motors produce a combined output of 986bhp. Paired to an eight-speed dual clutch transmission, the SF90 Stradale accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 2.5 seconds, and 0-200km/h in an astonishing 6.7 seconds. 

Mr. Knechtel said of the SF90 Stradale, "As Enzo Ferrari famously said that you have to imagine the car first. This principle remains true for the SF90 Stradale as the designers and engineers dared to imagine. Starting from the concept definition, this car was meant to go beyond the expectations in every single area: performance, technology and design. The aim was to beat whatever road car Ferrari ever made, and we did it, as this car is the fastest and most powerful Prancing Horse ever produced."
