The new Nissan Serena e-POWER is the first vehicle with the e-POWER electrified powertrain to be officially brought in by Tan Chong Motor Sales in Singapore.

Nissan and Tan Chong Motor Sales have announced the launch of the all new Nissan Serena e-POWER in Singapore.

The Serena e-POWER also marks the debut of Nissan's e-POWER drivetrain in Singapore
The new seven-seater Nissan Serena e-POWER is the first vehicle with the e-POWER electrified powertrain to be officially brought in by Tan Chong Motor Sales in Singapore. Coupled with smart technologies and family-friendly features, the Nissan Serena e-POWER delivers an award-winning experience with a 100% electric drive that allows driver and passengers to better enjoy every ride.

The e-POWER drivetrain is a Nissan proprietary technology that offers the driving performance and benefits of an EV, yet eliminates the need for plug-in charging.

It combines a 100% electric motor drive with a petrol engine that charges the battery, giving customers instant, smooth acceleration and greater fuel efficiency. The e-POWER system comprises the battery and the electrified powertrain, which is integrated with a petrol engine, power generator, inverter and motor. This differs from conventional hybrid systems, where the wheels are driven by both the electric motor and a petrol engine.

Three driving modes are on offer to giver the driver better control over the drivetrain operation
The Nissan Serena e-POWER's electric motor delivers 132bhp and 320Nm of instantaneous torque. Used solely to charge the battery, the 1.2-litre petrol engine runs at a constant, optimal speed to deliver a fuel efficiency rating of 17.5km/L.

The Nissan Serena e-POWER is equipped with three driving modes - Smart, ECO and Normal. The e-POWER's S (Smart) or ECO mode offers the convenience of acceleration and deceleration by only using Nissan's innovative One-Pedal Drive technology.

One-Pedal allows the driver to start, accelerate, decelerate and stop using only the accelerator pedal. Lift off the accelerator pedal and One-Pedal mimics stepping on the brake pedal, allowing the vehicle to slow down and even come to a complete stop.

Six SRS airbags and Intelligent Around View Monitor with Intelligent Driver Alertness in the Serena e-POWER will keep your family safe
In stop-and-go city traffic, One-Pedal greatly reduces the need to shift from one pedal to the other, making driving simpler and more engaging.

The advanced regenerative braking of the One-Pedal Drive technology also harnesses a high amount of energy back to recharge the battery and increase fuel efficiency.

One-Pedal furthermore reduces wear and tear on the brake pads as brake pedal application decreases by nearly 70%.

The Nissan Serena e-POWER also comes equipped with unique Quiet and Charge modes - the former enables the vehicle to travel quietly when required by temporarily stopping the petrol engine from charging the battery, while the latter runs the engine to charge the battery.

Besides being equipped with advanced Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies such as Intelligent Around View Monitor and Intelligent Driver Alertness, its top-notch safety features also include six SRS airbags, Vehicle Dynamic Control and Vehicle Sound for Pedestrian systems.

The all new Nissan Serena e-POWER retails from $140,800 inclusive of COE as of 30 September 2019 until 9 October 2019 with complimentary three years or 50,000km servicing. Terms and conditions apply.
