Porsche has unveiled a third version of its electric sports saloon - the Taycan 4S.

The new entry-level model in the series, the Taycan 4S is available with two battery sizes and delivers 523bhp with the Performance battery, or 563bhp with the Performance battery Plus.

The single-deck Performance battery comes as standard and sports a total capacity of 79.2kWh, while the two-deck Performance battery Plus, similar to that in the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo, is available as an option with a total capacity of 93.4 kWh.

In both variants, the Taycan 4S will accelerate from a standing start to 100km/h in 4.0 seconds, while the top speed for both variants is 250km/h.

The Performance battery delivers a range of up to 407km, while the Performance battery Plus will deliver a range of 463km in accordance to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) - the highest value of the current Taycan range. Maximum charging capacity is 225kW for the Performance battery and 270 kW for the Performance battery Plus pack.

Thanks to two electric motors on the front and rear axles, the Taycan 4S puts all that power on the road through an all-wheel drive system that also features a two-speed transmission on the rear axle.

Distinguishing features of the Taycan 4S compared with the Turbo and Turbo S include the aerodynamically optimised 19-inch Taycan S Aero wheels and the red-painted brake callipers.

The front apron features a new geometry, while side sills and a rear diffuser in black ensure further visual differentiation. LED head lights including the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus are equipped as standard.

As standard, the Taycan 4S comes with a partial leather interior as well as front comfort seats with eight-way electrical adjustment. Porsche also offers an optional, entirely leather-free interior for this Taycan, with the interior instead made from innovative recycled materials that underscore the sustainable concept of the electric sports car.
