Thanks to a total of 27 new developments, the Porsche Taycan is the most important innovation driver in the global automotive market. 13 of these, or almost half, are world firsts. These are the conclusions of the new AutomotiveINNOVATIONS Report published by the Center of Automotive Management (CAM).
Innovations in the electric Porsche recognised by the scientists at CAM include its 800V architecture, two-speed transmission on the rear axle, high recuperative power of up to 265kW and best Cd value in the segment at 0.22.
Approximately 250 production vehicles were evaluated for 2019/20. The award ceremony takes place in a digital live format on 14 July 2020. Markus Lanz, from German television broadcaster ZDF, will host the Digital Automotive Talk on the subject 'Upheaval and transformation in the automotive industry - innovations as the key to successfully overcoming the crisis'.
