The recently announced BMW 4 Series Coupe is now available in Singapore. Two variants will be available at launch, the 420i M Sport and the 430i Coupe M Sport Pro.
The significant changes in terms of design and driving dynamics allow the 4 Series to now stand on its own, offering a clear distinction from its sedan counterpart, the current BMW 3 Series.
Now, the 4 Series sports vertically emphasised kidney grille up front, which heralds back to legendary BMW coupe classics like the BMW 328 and 3.0 CSi.
The proportions of the new 4 Series have been dynamically stretched compared to its predecessor. It is now longer and wider, offering added road presence to go along with its expressive design.
Available for the 430i Coupe as standard, the M Sport Pro package further strengthens the car's bold looks. It takes the features of the M Sport model and adds items including 19-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, and blacked out trim finishes.
The M Sport Pro treatment continues on the inside with Vernasca M Sport seats, which are reminiscent to the seats you get in a BMW M car.
The 12.3-inch BMW Live Cockpit Professional, along with a 10.25-inch infotainment display running BMW's Operating System 7.0 will come as standard across all variants.
Alongside wireless Apple CarPlay, the BMW 4 Series Coupe also comes with wireless Android Auto. BMW Digital Key will also enable customers with iPhones to access their vehicles with their devices.
A standard suite of safety assistance features will be available in both variants, which include front collision warning with brake intervention, Lane Departure Warning with steering assistance, and a speed limit information system.
The optional Driving Assistance Professional will add Steering and Lane Control Assistant with Active Navigation, which will use navigation data to detect any necessary lane changes.
A head-up display will come as standard in the 430i Coupe M Sport Pro.
Both variants available at launch will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with different power outputs. The 420i puts out 181bhp and 300Nm of torque, while the 430i Coupe M Sport Pro will put out 255bhp and 400Nm of torque.
An eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission is fitted as standard across all variants currently available. In addition, the 430i M Sport Pro has a new Sprint function, which adjusts engine and shift characteristics with a short pull of the shift paddle.
The new BMW 4 Series Coupe is currently available for viewing at the Performance Motors showroom along Alexandra Road. Prices will start from $218,888 (as of 19 November 2020).
