Following the launch of the new E-Class last month, Mercedes-Benz Singapore has announced the introduction of the E-Class E200 Cabriolet and Coupe, and the Mercedes-AMG E53 4MATIC+ Saloon to Singapore.

Dynamic, efficient, emotionally appealing and lovable, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet and Coupe extends the appeal of these iconic and sought-after saloons onto these two formats. As for those seeking a more exhilarating, thrilling drive, the Mercedes-AMG E53 4MATIC+ Saloon could be the vehicle that offers performance and practicality in a complete package.

The design modifications undertaken, particularly to the front sections of the E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet, bring added refinement. The more dynamic impression comes courtesy of flatter headlamps which feature all-LED technology.

The 'A-shape' design of the new diamond radiator grille, which is likewise standard on all versions, adds a particularly dynamic touch. The grille also features chrome-plated pins, a single louvre and the Mercedes star in the centre.

The Mercedes-AMG E53 4MATIC+ Saloon sports an AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical slats and high-gloss chrome decorative strip to complete a muscular front-end that also includes a powerfully shaped bonnet with strongly contoured powerdomes.

A new highlight of the muscular rear section is the completely redesigned inner workings of the two-piece tail lights, featuring LED technology. The Mercedes-AMG E53 4MATIC+ Saloon comes with  a redesigned rear apron with a sporty diffuser and trim strip in silver chrome to complete the car's muscular and athletic exterior. The star module with integrated reversing camera is also inset into the boot lid of all models.

The interiors of the Coupe and Cabriolet combine contemporary style with sporty luxury, with the essential lines of the interior clearly defined. The upper section of the dashboard appears to hover, resting on generously proportioned trim elements that flow through into the doors.

The high-quality materials selected, together with the quality of craftsmanship employed, serve to emphasise the car's sporty, stylish character and exude outstandingly high-class appeal. New-look trim options - open-pore grey ash wood and aluminium with light carbon-fibre grain - serve to enhance the interior.

The Mercedes-AMG E53 4MATIC+ Saloon come with the new AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather, metal-weave trim with centre console in lack piano-lacquer look, and AMG-specific MBUX menus and functions.

The Coupe and Cabriolet are fitted with an intelligent steering wheel new to the E-Class as part of the facelift. This is available as a leather steering wheel and in a super sports variant. The control surfaces sport a high-gloss black finish, while the trim elements and surrounds have a silver shadow finish, with the functions of the instrument cluster and media display are operated using touch controls.

These E-Class models are also equipped with the latest generation of the MBUX multimedia system (Mercedes-Benz User Experience). As standard, it includes two large 12.3-inch screens arranged side by side for a sublime widescreen look.

The Coupe and Cabriolet utilise the same 2.0-litre powerplant rated at 195bhp and 320Nm of torque, mated to a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission, that is also found in the E200 Saloon. The Coupe manages the century sprint in 7.5 seconds, while the Cabriolet does the same in 7.8 seconds.

On the Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Saloon, an electrified 3.0-litre turbocharged in-line six engine mated with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G automatic transmission propels the car from zero to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds, up to a maximum speed of 250km/h.

The engine produces 429bhp and 520Nm of torque, augmented by an electric EQ Boost starter-alternator that provides an additional 20bhp and 250Nm of additional power and torque while also supplying the 48V on-board electrical system.

The new E-Class has the latest Mercedes-Benz driving assistance systems providing cooperative support to drivers. This results in an especially high level of active safety, with the Coupe and Cabriolet being able to react quickly and intelligently if the driver is unable to do so. The hands-off detection feature of the steering wheel now works on a capacitive basis, thereby enhancing user-friendliness when driving in semi-automated mode.

As standard, the E-Class comes with Active Brake Assist, which in many situations is able to use autonomous braking to prevent a collision or mitigate its severity.

Additionally, all E-Class models come delivered with Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC and 360 degree camera which allows the vehicle to recognise parking lot delineations and park into them automatically. The 360 degree camera now comes with a wide-angle view and a new colour warning display system that makes obstacle detection easier and more pronounced for the driver.
