The Cupra Leon achieves a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating
10 Jul 2021|1,739 views
The Cupra Leon has received a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, passing the strict testing procedures with flying colours.
The achievement marks the second time the Spanish automaker's vehicles received the coveted accolade, after the Cupra Formentor was given the same five-star rating in early 2021.
The car features a number of built-in safety systems that use sensor data to help exceed the stringent demands of the Euro NCAP tests. These include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, Traffic Jam Assist, High Beam Assist and Pre-Crash Assist. The inclusion of seven airbags makes the Cupra Leon one of the safest vehicles available.
The Cupra Leon's achievement is a significant accomplishment, given that Euro NCAP re-evaluates its testing practices every two years. Last year's refinements have made them the strictest and most thorough to date.
