Renault has unveiled the new Megane E-Tech at the IAA Munich International Motor Show.
The all-electric hatchback sports the firm's new 'Nouvel'R' logo, and utilises 100% recycled recycled materials for its upholstery, on top of another 27kg of visible and invisible parts, which are made out recycled plastics.

Built upon Renault's CMF-EV modular platform also allows the use of a battery that is thinner than ever, at only 110mm, allowing the designers to refine the car's external proportions while also boosting the car's interior roominess and lower its centre of gravity for a more exciting driving experience.
20-inch wheels, protective strips on the lower body and wheel arches, and a high beltline also give the car necessary robustness, while the line of the roof, wide tracks, and flush door handles come from the world of coupes.

The dashboard on entry and mid-range versions has been topped with a textile finish, while the premium trim comes with faux-leather TEP. A decorative strip here stretches across the dash and into the door panels to create a greater sense of visual width.
The Megane E-Tech is powered by a brand-new motor delivering up to 215bhp with 300Nm of torque. Customers will be able to choose between a 40kWh battery or a 60kWh one, delivering a WLTP range of 299km and 470km respectively. A maximum charging speed of 130kW is possible via direct current.
