The original Reventon was first shown two years ago at the Frankfurt Motor Show, almost exactly to the day, and was designed to be like a road-going stealth fighter.

The Roadster, like the coupe, boasts jet-inspired carbon fibre body panels and aggressive 18-inch wheels. Alcantara trim and even more carbon fibre adorns the space-age interior.

Details are still scarce, but the Roadster is expected to be powered by a 6.5 litre V12 engine that produces 650bhp and 660Nm of torque. Mated to Lamborghini’s six-speed E-Gear transmission, and with four-wheel-drive as standard, the Reventon Roadster is capable of going from 0-100km/h in just 3.4 seconds, and on to a top speed of 340km/h.

Like the coupe, the Reventon Roadster is expected to be ultra-exclusive, and just 20 units is expected to be built, all of which is expected to be snapped up by rich collectors.
