Manufacturing starts for Toyota Corolla Cross in the U.S.A

Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTM) has begun production of the 2022 Corolla Cross at its plant in Huntsville, Alabama, U.S.A.
MTM, a joint venture partnership between Mazda Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Corporation, is the only North American facility to produce the Corolla Cross. The plant is also said to be hiring in preparation for production of a yet-to-be-announced Mazda vehicle.
MTM is currently hiring more than 1,700 additional employees to join its existing workforce, which will eventually swell to 4,000 once production is in full operation come 2022. The plant has the capacity to produce 300,000 vehicles a year, evenly split between the two nameplates.
