Lunaz has begun production of its electrified Aston Martin DB6 conversions.
Each electrified Aston Martin DB6 by Lunaz will undergo an exhaustive bare-metal restoration and re-engineering process.
The internal combustion engine and associated systems are then sensitively removed and stored on behalf of the client before the chassis is prepared for re-engineering and electrification.
Traditional coachbuilding and restoration skills are employed to strip the car down to a bare metal shell. Body defects are addressed by hand before the surface finish process begins.
A variety of sustainable materials are also offered for the interior. The carpets for example, can be produced from a material which is woven from fishing nets recovered from the sea into one that matches more traditional lambswool for comfort and tactile quality. 100% recycled textiles are also offered throughout the rest of the cabin.
Driveability is ensured through the up-rating of brakes, suspension and steering while interior comfort and convenience is brought up to modern standards through the provision of air conditioning and the sensitive integration of latest infotainment, navigation systems and full Wi-Fi connectivity.
Finally, the car gets Lunaz' proprietary modular electric powertrain, developed entirely in-house. All current Lunaz vehicles' come equipped with a battery capacity ranging from 80kWh to 120kWh. Range is 410km. Every car by Lunaz is equipped with CCS fast-charging capability.
In the Lunaz Aston Martin DB6, the new drivetrain is said to marry brisk initial acceleration with the requirements of a classic car that is very much built in the mode of a Grand Tourer.
