  • Mitsubishi reveals design of the Outlander PHEV

Mitsubishi has revealed the design of the all new, plug-in hybrid Outlander ahead of its premiere in the U.S.A come 28 October 2021.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has revealed the design of the all new, Outlander Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), confirming it will share the same bold and distinctive styling as the gasoline-powered Outlander.

On the front, the Outlander PHEV sports Mitsubishi's Dynamic Shield design, which projects power, reassurance and presence.

The Mitsubishi Outlander is being offered in the U.S.A with large 20-inch wheels, as well as strong fender flares for a powerful road presence
Bold proportions, with thick horizontal accents and sharply defined character lines, define the car from the flank. Additionally, large 20-inch wheels, along with the muscular front and rear fender flares that house them, conjure an image of powerful and dependable road performance.

On the tailgate, the Outlande PHEV gets distinctive badging, while a hexagon motif alludes to the spare tyres mounted on the back of popular Mitsubishi SUV heritage models. The horizontal-themed T-shaped signature taillights emphasise the vehicle's width and reinforce the look of stability.

Like its gasoline counterpart, the all new Outlander PHEV will come standard with third-row seating, providing greater flexibility for active owners and families.

Sales for the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV are scheduled to begin in Japan in mid-December and in the U.S.A in the second half of calendar-year 2022. More information on drivetrain specifications will be revealed when the car makes its official premiere in the U.S.A come 28 October 2021.
