BMW driving dynamics, evocative styling, and good space for five are all yours with the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe, now here in Singapore.

BMW Asia, Performance Motors Limited, and Performance Munich Autos have announced the availability of the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe here in Singapore.

The second generation BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe continues to offer the unique mix of BMW dynamic ability, with modern functionality and sleek coupe looks thanks to its distinctive four-door coupe bodyshape.

Six-cylinder petrol engine in the BMW M440i xDrive Gran Coupe offers 369bhp and 500Nm of torque from 1,900rpm
Speaking of that body, this new 4 Series Gran Coupe has grown larger in every direction. At 4,783mm long, 1,852mm wide and 1,442mm tall, the new car is longer, wider, and taller than its predecessor, while increased track widths of 50mm at the front and 29mm at the rear also aid in giving the new car a more planted look.

And all this has translated into not only more space for passengers on board, but also an increased boot space, which now stands at 470 litres, 39 litres larger than before.

On the outside, the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe gets full-LED head lights that flank that prominent BMW kidney grill. Strong and powerful shoulders catch your attention at the flank of the car, as do the car's flush door handles.

And at the rear, a design dominated with horizontal lines couple with the lip spoiler and darkened full-LED rear lights to give the car a muscular look.

A 12.3-inch high-resolution instrument cluster and 10.25-inch control display greet you in the cabin of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe
In the cabin of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe, the standard BMW Live Cockpit Professional pairs a 12.3-inch high-resolution instrument cluster with a 10.25-inch control display.

M Sport seats and a M Leather steering wheel come as standard on the BMW M440i xDrive Gran Coupe and BMW 430i Gran Coupe M Sport Pro, as does the premium Harman Kardon sound system. The BMW 420i Gran Coupe meanwhile, can be enhanced with features such as seat ventilation, Vernasca leather seats.

The BMW M440i xDrive Gran Coupe is powered by a 369bhp six-cylinder petrol engine. The BMW 430i Gran Coupe M Sport Pro meanwhile, is powered by a four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 241bhp. The four-cylinder petrol engine in the BMW 420i Gran Coupe produces a maximum output of 181bhp.

The BMW M440i xDrive Gran Coupe is additionally equipped with mild-hybrid technology. The 48V starter-generator puts an extra 11bhp on tap when accelerating off the line or putting in a quick burst of speed.

A wheelbase of 2,856mm for the four-door coupe ensures there is decent legroom available for all passengers
The standard eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission on the BMW M440i xDrive Gran Coupe and BMW 430i Gran Coupe M Sport Pro is additionally equipped with a Sprint function that prompts the powertrain and sets the shift characteristics to maximise dynamic performance when putting in a sudden burst of speed or overtaking.

All variants of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe also get model-specific geometry, mounting and tuning for their suspension to imbue it with exceptional dynamic ability. A two-joint spring strut front axle and five-link rear axle have been engineered to reduce weight while increasing rigidity.

Firm lift-related dampers on the BMW 420i Gran Coupe with the standard M Sport suspension further complement the car's fine handling, while on the BMW M440i xDrive Gran Coupe and BMW 430i Gran Coupe M Sport Pro, adaptive M suspension will offer the widest possible range of driving experiences on the sporty-to-comfortable spectrum.

A variable sport steering is included with both suspension variants. M Sport brakes are also available as an option, for the BMW 420i Gran Coupe, and standard on the BMW M440i xDrive Gran Coupe and BMW 430i Gran Coupe M Sport Pro.
