Cycle & Carriage Singapore has launched the new Eclipse Cross here in Singapore.

The front of the Eclipse Cross gets an evolved Dynamic Shield design alongside slimmer LED daytime running lamps. The car is also available here with LED headlamps if you opt for the 'Style' variant, which additionally adds 18-inch rims instead of the standard 16-inch items.

The rear of the coupe crossover meanwhile, has been redesigned to deliver a more elegant appearance, while also expressing the strength and toughness of an SUV.

Mitsubishi states that the overall aerodynamic performance of the Eclipse Cross remains stellar thanks to the reshaping of the front and rear of the vehicle.

Powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre MIVEC engine producing 161bhp and 250Nm of torque, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross sends its power to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission with eight simulated gears.

All this power will allow the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross to complete the zero to 100km/h sprint in 9.7 seconds, and if driven sensibly, the coupe crossover will achieve a claimed fuel economy of 14.5km/L.

In the cabin, the Eclipse Cross features a horizontally-themed instrument panel that offers a broad field of vision.

There's also a new 8.0-inch screen that is now mounted in a position closer to the driver for improved touchscreen operability and visibility. 'Style' models here will get Mitsubishi's Smartphone-link Display Audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

'Style' variants will get additional features including factory fitted leather seats, paddle shifters, dual-zone air-conditioning, as well as an electronic parking brake and Mitsubishi's Multi Around Monitor.

The new Eclipse Cross also has its luggage room increased up to 405 litres, an 18% increase compared against the previous model, despite an increase of only 140mm in overall vehicle length.

All Mitsubishi models come standard with an industry-leading 10-year engine warranty and five-year unlimited mileage warranty.
