Powered by a 3.5-litre V6, the Hyundai Staria arrives in Singapore with power to match its futuristic spaceship-inspired looks.

Komoco Motors has launched the stunning new Hyundai Staria multi-purpose vehicle here in Singapore. The car is available here in its seven-seat configuration.

The car sports a radical exterior design, said to evoking the streamlined form of a spaceship. Its sleek exterior is defined by a single stroke running from front to rear, which was inspired by the curve of light that illuminates the Earth's horizon at sunrise when viewed from space.

At 1,990mm tall and with a total length of 5,253mm, the Hyundai Staria promises generous space for all seven passengers
At the front, the Hyundai Staria gets distinctive horizontal daytime running lights. A horizontal positioning lamp also runs across the width of the vehicle, complemented by a bold, wide radiator grille.

At the flank are lowered beltlines and panoramic side windows, design touches done to improve overall visibility and create a feeling of openness.

In the cabin, the Hyundai Staria sports a simple and modest layout. This deliberate design touch done to highlight driver's convenience and passenger comfort as priorities for the car.

The interior here likewise takes its inspiration from starships, with an open and unique atmosphere. There are futuristic looking seats, alongside an 8.0-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch digital cluster, as well as a button-type electronic shift lever.

The Premium Relaxation Seats can automatically recline to a posture that comfortably disperses the passenger's weight
The Hyundai Staria comes to Singapore equipped with Hyundai's Premium Relaxation Seats in the second row. These recline electronically and also slide fore and aft for easy reach or to maximise cargo space.

They also come with one-touch relaxation mode makes the seats recline automatically to a posture that comfortably disperses the passenger's weight and improves overall body balance.

The Hyundai Staria is available here with a 3.5-litre Multi-Point Injection engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Power stands at 268bhp and peak torque from the unit is 331Nm.

Safety is further bolstered by smart features such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assist and Blind-Spot, Collision-Avoidance Assist, as well as Rear Occupant Alert, which uses a radar sensor to detect and alert the driver if a rear passenger is left in the car after exiting the vehicle.
