The Kia Sonet arrives in Singapore paired with an app

Cycle & Carriage Kia has launched the all new Sonet here in Singapore.
The little subcompact is powered by a 113bhp 1.5-litre engine that produces a peak torque of 144Nm, paired to a Continuously Variable Transmission.
More interesting however, is the fact that this Kia Sonet is also premiering the new Kia Connect Lite suite of connected car services for Singapore.
The feature will allow owners lock and unlock their vehicle and start or stop the engine, all remotely via their smartphones. The car's climate control can also be scheduled to be activated with engine ignition, allowing the vehicle to be cooled before entering the vehicle.
Users of the corresponding feature's app will additionally be able to remotely check on their car's tyre pressure, fuel percentage, mileage, and battery status.
Real-time trip logs and driving information are also recorded via the Kia Connect Lite, so owners can learn more about their own driving habits over time.
The system is even smart enough to aid you to book an appointment through the my C&C app, should it detect any faults.
Finally, the service also comes with an emergency assist feature, which will notify the pre-registered quick contact when the car's airbags are activated, allowing for timely emergency response, even remotely.
But that's enough of looking at our phones. Look up and you'll notice the Kia Sonet is quite the striking number with its Heartbeat LED head lights and a muscular front crowned by Kia's signature 'tiger nose' grille.
From the flank, you'll spot the fact that it wears 16-inch rims, and there's also an interestingly designed C-pillar to note from the rear. Step within the car and you'll also notice a sleek, flowing dashboard housing an 8.0-inch touchscreen. The unit supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone pairing.
Other feature highlights here include ventilated seats as well as a wireless smartphone charger, while those at the back will get their own air-conditioning vents.
The all new Kia Sonet is available from $109,999, but an early bird discount of $2,000 off its purchase price and $2,000 worth of service credits will be offered with the car from 1 January to 8 February 2022.
The car is, additionally, being offered with a complimentary two-year subscription to the aforementioned Kia Connect Lite for a limited time period. Following which it will come with a standard retail price of $600 for a two-year subscription package.
