The BMW iX technology flagship now gets BMW M performance with the iX M60, capable of reaching 100km/h from a standstill in just 3.8 seconds.

BMW has unveiled the iX M60.

The second production all-electric vehicle from BMW's M brand following the i4 M50, the performance SUV sports a 611bhp output thanks to two electric motors driving both axles.

BMW M-tuned dual-axle air suspension ensures optimal ride height regardless of load
These motors also generate a peak torque of 1,015Nm in Sport mode, while activating launch control will free up a total of 1,100Nm of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from zero to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

A claimed energy consumption of 4.6km/kWh meanwhile, and a 105.2kWh battery gives the BMW iX M60 a range of 566km based on the WLTP cycle. An electronically limited top speed of 250km/h also makes the iX M60 the fastest all-electric model in the BMW Group.

On the outside, the BMW iX M60 is differentiated from the rest of the iX range with brake calipers of its sports brake system painted in blue and featuring an M logo.

The car also gets finished with the BMW Individual Titanium Bronze Exterior Line and M logos in the new High Gloss Black/Titanium Bronze finish on the front side panels at the rear. 22-inch Titanium Bronze design aerodynamic wheels are offered as an option.

The iX M60 continues to feature natural materials in its cabin, including the floor coverings and floor mats made from recycled fishing nets
In the cabin meanwhile, the iX's Multifunction seats with integrated headrests, the large BMW Curved Display sporting the firm's latest Operating System, the hexagonal steering wheel and the anthracite-coloured roof liner all continue to feature in the iX M60.

Standard features for the M60 however, include the BMW Live Cockpit Professional and BMW Natural Interaction, alongside the Bowers and Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System, as well as the firm's Active Seat Ventilation for driver and front passenger and the Heat Comfort Package.

The interior of the iX M60 also features FSC-certified wood, leather tanned with olive tree leaf extract and other natural materials, while recycled fishing nets serve as raw material for the floor coverings and floor mats.

The BMW iX M60 sports a double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link setup at the rear. This is supported by dual-axle adaptive suspension as standard. The suspension setup sports a M-specific setup, and ensures optimal vehicle height at any speed, regardless of load.

Global market launch of the iX M60 will begin in Juneof 2022.
