Mazda has revealed the new CX-60 e-Skyactiv Plug-in Hybrid, its most powerful road car to date.
That's right. And it earns that spot thanks to the firm's first plug-in hybrid drivetrain. It utilises a 2.5-litre Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine paired to a 134bhp electric motor and a 17.8kWh high-capacity battery to produce a total system output of 323bhp, and 500Nm of torque.

The car also has the exterior design credentials to back up its generous power output, with a beautiful yet imposing exterior, the latest evolution of Mazda's Kodo design, woven onto its front-engine, rear-wheel drive architecture.
Opting for the top-of-the-line 'Takumi' specification in the U.K. will see the Mazda CX-60 e-Skyactiv decked out with 20-inch black machined alloy wheels, body-coloured wing mirrors, alongside a gloss black grille with a chrome surround.
High specification cars will see the use of materials from maple wood and nappa leather combined with Japanese textiles in the cabin Mazda states that the CX-60 will continue to offer the highest standards of craftmanship and human centric ergonomics in its cabin. Mazda states that the CX-60 will also be available with a six-cylinder 3.0-litre e-Skyactiv X petrol-powered engine as well as the 3.3-litre six-cylinder Skyactiv-D diesel-powered unit, both equipped with 48V mild-hybrid systems.
The Mazda CX-60 is also the first of two new models from the company's Large Product group to be introduced in Europe in the next two years, with the second being the upcoming three-row Mazda CX-80.
