  • Alpine reveals new A4810 hydrogen-powered 'super berlinette' concept car

The hydrogen-powered Alpine A4810 concept was created by 28 students, carrying Alpine's minimalist philosophy into a sustainable future.

Alpine has revealed the A4810, a concept car created by 28 Masters students studying at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) Design School in Turin, Italy.

The hydrogen-powered, two-seater supercar was designed based on a challenge handed down from the Alpine design team, which asked for a 'super berlinette' for 2035 that would deliver high-performance while having a low environmental impact.

The Alpine A4810 concept gets an equally futuristic cabin to match its exterior design
The concept thus gets the '4810' in its name from the height (in meters) of Mont Blanc, the highest and most emblematic peak in the Alps that sits at the border between Italy and France, like a bridge connecting IED and Alpine.

The concept is also said to carry the traditional characteristics of the Alpine brand, shedding unnecessary elements to deliver a pure driving experience.

The design of the Alpine A4810 is said to be an interplay between empty and full spaces, giving the vehicle a lightweight look, with aerodynamic features inspired by Formula One models. The car also sports a bi-tone finish, while matte black and carbon fibre highlights create a bold contrast, bringing extra emphasis to functional components, be it aerodynamic or mechanical.

The team of students also used digital tools to design the interior through sketches, 3D models, renderings, animations, and Human Machine Interface development. Alpine states that the use of a hydrogen power supply in the concept makes it almost ready to take to the roads of a much more sustainable future, one without emissions.
