Want to join in AMG's 55th anniversary celebrations but can't quite shell out the price of an Edition 55 G63? There's now new Edition 55 cars for you to consider.
Mercedes-AMG has announced that it is now making the A35 and the CLA35 as Edition 55 cars, with the latter available as both a coupe and a shooting brake.
The Edition 55 cars get tailpipes finished in black chrome along with 19-inch wheels finished in matt titanium grey Setting these cars apart from their respective regular variants is the AMG Aerodynamics Package, which adds an enlarged front splitter and additional flics, as well as an AMG rear wing, side spoiler lips on the rear apron's optical air outlets and a rear diffuser, here all finished in high gloss black.
These cars also get the AMG Night Package and the AMG Night package II, which finishes the front splitter and trim elements on the louvres in the outer air intakes, the inserts in the AMG side sill trims, the side sill trim strip, the window line trim strip and the exterior mirror housings in high gloss black.
The exterior of these cars are finished in either cosmos black metallic or digital white metallic, pairing with 19-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels and an AMG fuel filler cap in silver chrome.
In the cabin, these cars will come with the AMG Performance steering wheel wrapped in Dinamica microfibre with 'Edition 55' badge and a black 12 o'clock marking. There's also AMG door sill panels with red illuminated AMG lettering, and black AMG floor mats made of high-quality velour with red contrasting stitching, which also get 'Edition 55' lettering woven into them in red.
