Volkswagen reveals tailgate of new Amarok pickup

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has revealed an early teaser of the upcoming new Amarok pickup, ahead of its global premiere.
The revealed image shows the pickup sporting an embossed 'Amarok' name on the back of its tailgate, so that those left behind are in no doubt whatsoever as to what vehicle you’re driving.
Volkswagen states that the new Amarok will be able to haul loads of up to 1.2 tonnes within its cargo box. The pickup will also offer a maximum towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes although this figure might differ according to the chosen engine/transmission variant.
Volkswagen had previously announced that this new pickup will push further into the premium pickup segment, with a sportier exterior and a more premium cabin.
