Romanian Chamber of Commerce inaugurated in Singapore

The Romanian Chamber of Commerce (Rocham Singapore) was approved as a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) by the Registry of Societies on 25 March 2021 with 10 founding members. Its first council was inaugurated on 3 Jun 2022 with the blessings from the Romania Embassy and Enterprise Singapore, as well as the major trade associations in Singapore including SBF, SMF, SCCCI, SMCCI, SICCI, ASME, SG Tech, Meat Association, Seafood Association and BDO Singapore.

Besides strong local support, Romanian members who had participated in the ATxSG exhibition at EXPO from 31 March to 3 June 2022 attended the event as well. The participants found the inaugural event a meaningful step for the Rocham platform.

Rocham Singapore has a vision to promote the economic and cultural activities between Singapore and Romania. In a long run, through its platform, the NGO wishes to strengthen the ties with European nations and ASEAN as well. In the near future, it shall organise trade missions and webinar sessions to develop new business partnership and maintain strong trade relationship amongst the stakeholders.
