  • New Zealand-based Rodin Cars reveals its 1,160bhp FZERO Hypercar

If the FZERO's 4.0-litre twin turbo V10's output of 1,160bhp does not do enough to impress you, how about the hypercar's near non-existent weight of just 698kg?

What comes to mind when you think of New Zealand? Picturesque landscapes? Yes. Peace and quiet? Yes. Utterly adorable birds called Kiwis? Yes. What about a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V10-engined hyper car pushing 1,160bhp, revving to 10,000rpm and weighing in at just 698kg? Enter the Rodin FZERO, a car that absolutely belies the image of its home country.

The car also comes equipped with a bespoke gearbox unit manufactured in conjunction with Ricardo U.K. giving the FZERO eight gears whilst only adding under 66kg of weight. The gearbox is encased in a titanium 3D printed case, printed on site in Rodin Cars' state-of-the-art 3D printing facility. The FZERO's wings and floor also produce a staggering 4,000kg of downforce.

The FZERO will soon become a reality, with Rodin Cars announcing that its mad hyper car is officially entering production. The FZERO is Rodin's most ambitious and anticipated car with a single minded purpose of delivering a driver experience akin to that of being in a modern Formula One car.

Building a car without restrictions of road laws or race series regulations means it can be developed with no limits, allowing for performance that would otherwise be unobtainable. The singular goal of the Rodin FZERO is to be the fastest car around track, without exception.

The Rodin FZERO will be available to customers in a configuration of their choice, allowing them to customise specific aspects of the car based on their driving style and the track on which they will be using it. In addition, Rodin owners receive access to custom racewear services, vehicle storage and delivery, and full driver training at Rodin's picturesque private race tracks.
