Porsche has tied up with Pixar studios to create a one off Porsche 911, the 911 Sally Special. This also marks the first time that Pixar has worked on such a project. The project was made possible on by many key members of the Cars film, including Bob Pauley, the Production Designer who first drew Sally Carrera.

The 911 Sally Special is based on the 911 Carrera GTS model and is equipped with a manual gearbox, symbolising Sally Carrera's passion for driving. Boris Apenbrink, Director of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur vehicles remarked that the project was one of the most intense, emotional and detailed Sonderwunsch projects the team has ever worked on.

Porsche made a custom Sally Carrera Turbo-look rims for the Sally Special to give the car even more resemblance to the character
Apenbrink pointed out how the Sally Special was painted in 'Sallybluemetallic', a custom paint that was hand-applied specifically for the project. Thought was also given to Sally's tattoo, a uniquely human touch to the animated character. Sally Carrera's Turbo-look rims were reinterpreted by Porsche designers in Weissach and manufactured especially for the 911 Sally Special.

Apart from the unique features on the car ifself, the Sally Special possesses a unique limited edition chronograph with a coloured ring painted in Sallybluemetallic. The chalk-coloured leather strap with Speed Blue stitching underscores the sporty design of the unique timepiece. The strap can be quickly and easily swapped out for a second strap in Speed Blue with chalk-coloured stitching, without the need for any tools.

The one-off car will be auctioned by RM Sotheby's on 20 August 2022 as part of Monterey Car Week in California. Auction proceeds will be donated to two charities. A portion of the proceeds will benefit young women through a donation to Girls Inc. The second portion will go to U.S.A for UNHCR, an organisation that supports refugees from Ukraine.
