The BMW Z4 returns for the 2023 model year with upgrades which include fresh design accents to the exterior and a wider range of standard equipment.

The third generation BMW Z4 has done remarkably well for itself, having sold 55,000 units since its launch back in 2019. This is a testament to the appeal of the Z4, considering how the two-seater sports car segment is not as fashionable as before.

However, BMW has not gotten complacent, and has chosen to give the Z4 a mid-life refresh.

Kidney grilles have become more prominent, giving the Z4 even more presence
For instance, the BMW kidney grille has become more prominent. The kidneys now have a horizontal inner structure, reinforcing the impression of a wide front end.

The exterior features of the M Sport package are now also included as standard on the four-cylinder models. They include the three-section air intakes in the front apron familiar from other M models, side-sill contouring and a rear apron with bold edging at either side.

New additions to standard equipment include 18-inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke design. These bi-colour wheels are fitted with mixed-size tyres: 225/45 R18 at the front axle and 255/40 R18 at the rear.

The Z4 pictured above is finished in Thundernight metallic, a gorgeous shade of purple which is available on the Z4 for the first time
Options now available to customers include M light-alloy wheels in 19-inch format designed exclusively for the BMW Z4.

The number of exterior paint finishes for the BMW Z4 has also increased. Customers can now choose Thundernight metallic, Portimao Blue metallic and Skyscraper Grey metallic, all of which are available on the Z4 for the first time.

Also new to the options list are the M lights Shadow Line, which can be ordered in conjunction with the likewise optional Adaptive LED Head lights.
