Did you know? There are over 10,000 abandoned animals in Singapore. When the pandemic started, a growing number of people tried coping with loneliness by getting a pet. Over time, some changed their minds and surrendered them to shelters. These animals often suffer emotional trauma from abandonment and hope to find a forever home.

At any one time, a shelter could have around 100 animals under their care. Food, along with other costs like supplements, medical supplies, rent, and hiring a full-time caregiver can run them up to over $20,000 per month. By finding adopters for these animals, shelters can lower their operating costs.

Just like us, pets also have emotions, and can suffer from emotional trauma when owners get tired and abandon them
To help create awareness, Volkswagen Singapore is partnering with homegrown animal advocacy group Hope for Animals for the first ever Fast & Furriest adoption drive.

Visitors can also participate in an on-site photobooth and enjoy unique shopping booths that will be contributing 10% of their sales proceeds to Purely Adoptions.

If you have space in your heart and home to add a furry member to your family, head down to the Volkswagen showroom on 8 October 2022, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The first 30 pet owners to visit with their fur kids will also receive a special treat!
