  • Mitsubishi premieres the XFC concept

Mitsubishi has unveiled the XFC Concept, which provides a teaser of what a new compact SUV from the brand will potentially look like.

Mitsubishi unveiled the XFC Concept, a compact SUV concept. Mitsubishi's concept has a tag line of being the 'best-suited buddy for an exciting life', whatever an 'exciting life' is defined as.

However, it seems like Mitsubishi's interpretation of the aforementioned phrase means having an 'imposing design of an SUV', 'utility such as ease of handling' and 'ample cargo space'. Whether those qualities count as exciting or not, boils down to who is reading this article.

The XFC Concept, despite its compact dimensions, aims to exude presence on the roads
In line with Mitsubishi's design philosophy of 'Robust & Ingenious', the Mitsubishi XFC Concept combines a domineering presence with a sleek surface that forms one continuous flow, starting from the three-diamond emblem on the front and extending to the sides and rear.

On the interior, a horizontally themed instrument panel is adopted, helping the driver sense changes in the vehicle's posture when driving on rough surfaces, while also improving forward visibility.

A series of soft padding is also present, giving a sense of enclosure and protection to create a secure and comfortable interior.

The Mitsubishi XFC will offer plenty of ground clearance and four drive modes, Normal, Wet, Gravel and Mud to tackle different driving situations.

The Wet mode, introduced for the first time in a Mitsubishi vehicle, is designed with use in ASEAN countries in mind.

This will enable drivers to traverse roads that have suddenly become flooded by sudden showers.
