Road closures ahead for Changi and Pasir Ris area

The LTA has announced a slew of road closures and bus route diversions that will affect those that commute through Pasir Ris and Changi.
These changes, the LTA states, are necessary in order to facilitate the construction of extensive transport infrastructure enhancements which include an extended cycling path network, improvements to commuter facilities and community spaces, and a new Loyang Viaduct to support travel demand from existing and new developments in the Changi Northern Corridor.
Closures along Loyang Avenue will last from 2023 to 2029 to facilitate construction of Loyang Station The planned changes are as follows.
From 30 October 2022 to second quarter of 2028, Pasir Ris Drive 1 between Pasir Ris Drive 2 and Drive 4 will be closed.
Motorists travelling towards Loyang Avenue and Pasir Ris Central areas will be diverted to Pasir Ris Street 11 and Street 12. A road map of the affected section of road and the bus route diversions are available here.
From the first quarter of 2023 to the second quarter of 2029, meanwhile, Loyang Avenue between Pasir Ris Drive 3 and Loyang Way will be closed.
Motorists plying along Loyang Avenue towards both Tampines Expressway and Changi Village will be diverted to Pasir Ris Drive 3 and Loyang Way. Pasir Ris Drive 1 between the junction of Pasir Ris Drive 8 and Pasir Ris Central and Street 51 will be closed from the third quarter of 2023 to fourth quarter of 2028 to facilitate the construction of CRL Pasir Ris Station.
Motorists can travel via Pasir Ris Central or Pasir Ris Drive 3 to access Pasir Ris Drive 8 and vice versa. A road map for the affected section of the road is available here.
