MINI Asia has created the MINI Electric Academy to further help potential customers understand EVs in Singapore. Mr. Kidd Yam, Head of MINI Asia, remarked that there has been a growing interest in EVs amongst MINI's customers.
He also pointed out a recent survey done by BMW Group, which showed that only 69% of respondents were familiar with EVs and how they work. Even more interesting was that a staggering 40% believed that EVs could only travel up to 100km before requiring a charge.
To the Head of MINI Asia, this translated to the need to educate people about the basics of going electric.
The MINI Electric Academy will therefore make use of digital flip cards and a series of videos accompanied by manuals, in order to teach visitors about the benefits of going electric in three easy lessons.
