Honda has unveiled its 2023 Honda Accord for the U.S.A market, which it claims will re-energise the midsize sedan segment with its elegant and sophisticated design. The company also predicts that the new Accord, which is in its 11th generation, will represent 50% of Honda U.S.A's sales figures.

The new 2023 Accord comes with longer and sleeker proportions, with a low horizontal beltline and a more domineering front end.

On the inside, a new sporty and modern interior offers high quality materials and Honda's largest touchscreen ever.

The touchscreen possesses Honda's first integration of Google, built-in for seamless on-the-go connectivity. The new Accord is also more comfortable, with new front Body Stabilising Seats that reduce fatigue on long drives.

Standard safety features include new Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technology, next-gen front airbags, as well as new front knee airbags and rear side-impact airbags.

A new suspension and updates to the steering should make the new Accord a more enjoyable driving experience
Honda claims that the new suspension and steering updates make the new Accord more fun to drive, while simultaneously improving ride quality.

A retuned four-wheel independent suspension provides a more engaging driving experience, while new front suspension damper mount bearings and ball joints reduce friction to improve steering smoothness.

Accord hybrid models will also feature an all new, more powerful fourth generation two-motor hybrid-electric system with a pair of electric motors and an all new 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine with a combined system output of 201bhp and 334Nm of torque.

The hybrid-electric system has also been tuned to be more responsive and refined at highway speeds. Linear Shift Control elevates the driving experience by mimicking the vehicle speed-linked rev feel associated with a conventional drivetrain shifting gears under acceleration.

The Accord will also be available with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with VTEC variable valve lift technology that has been updated with additional refinement and reduced emissions.

Enhancements include an upgraded direct-injection system and new cold-active catalyst, plus a high-rigidity crankshaft and oil pan to reduce engine noise.
