Car Designer Frank Stephenson has officially launched COSMOS, his first watch collection with watchmakers, Time Concepts.
Stephenson, responsible for the design of some of the most exotic and iconic cars including Ferraris, Maseratis, McLarens, MINI and Fiat 500 models, has developed a design portfolio encompassing industrial design and new mobility projects such as eVTOL and outer space.
The series is named after stars, and possesses sparkling granite dials which is inspired by views of cosmic regions in space The initial series is named and inspired by glittering stars, which is accomplished with individually unique sparkling granite dials that conjure up views of the cosmic regions of space.
The Frank Stephenson collection, part of the Szanto ICON watch series, features styling cues reflecting the designer's work within the automotive industry and his more recent contributions to new mobility design, with his logo featuring prominently on the dial and his signature on the back of the watch case.
The FS COSMOS is crafted with a stainless steel case, and case back with a highly scratch resistant domed K1 crystal. The dial features an original stylised font for the numbers at the four corners (zero, three, six and nine) that are printed with Superluminova lume to deliver a gentle glow at night.
