BMW has launched the facelifted 3 Series alongside the M3 Touring here at the 2023 Singapore Motor Show.

Starting things off for the 3 Series range here is the 318i, which pushes out a total of 154bhp and 250Nm of torque, courtesy of a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. The century sprint is completed here in 8.6 seconds.

Those that want a little more visual aggression with their 3 Series, meanwhile, will be able to opt for their 318i with the M Sport package. This package will finish the compact sedan with a honeycomb pattern lower air intake, redesigned front and rear aprons, as well as 18-inch M light-alloy wheels with mixed-size tyres.

The facelifted 3 Series differs from its predecessor thanks to its redesigned front, with new head lights that are now slimmer, with clearer contours and blue accents inside their covers, to highlight the fact that they are adaptive LED items. Also adding to the increased presence of this BMW 3 Series is a redesigned grille.

At the rear, meanwhile, the higher proportion of the apron of the car is now painted in the body colour, while the use of an clean-cut design gives the 3 Series added sophistication.

But the cabin is where the changes for the BMW 3 Series become more obvious.

Ahead of the driver in the car now rests BMW's new Curved Display, which in here merges a 12.3-inch information display behind the steering wheel and a control display with a screen diagonal of 14.9 inches. This system also runs BMW's latest Operating System 8.

The selector lever for the eight-speed Steptronic transmission here has also been redesigned.

If, however, you're looking for more power in your compact luxury sedan, BMW is also offering the 340i xDrive here. Power in this car will come courtesy of a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine which pushes out 369bhp and 500Nm of torque, enough to propel the car from zero to 100km/h in 4.4 seconds.

This engine is paired to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, which offers particularly sharp shift dynamics, as well as a Launch Control function for traction-optimised acceleration off the line and ultra-quick bursts of mid-range power with its Sprint function.

But let's say you want even more power still, there's one final new car that BMW is now offering here in Singapore.

It's called the M3 Touring, and it comes straight out of the box in Competition spec, which means there's 503bhp at the front, and 500 litres of cargo capacity at the rear.

Here, power is put to the road via the firm's M xDrive all-wheel drive system alongside an Active M Differential at the rear. However, drivers will still get the option to put all power to the rear wheels, should they turn the vehicle's Dynamic Stability Control system off.

BMW puts the century sprint time for this M3 Touring at 3.6 seconds.

A double-joint spring strut front axle and the five-link rear axle with M-specific kinematics, alongside adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers all ensure a fine balance of handling and long-distance comfort in the BMW M3 Touring.
