Continental Singapore has announced that it has appointed United Automobile Services (UAS) as its Singapore distributor for its car batteries.
Founded in 1871, Continental is one of the leading automotive suppliers and tyre manufacturers, and has ambitions to become a global technology group, while UAS is a firm that specialises in automotive aftermarket solutions and services.
Founded in 2006 as automotive window film specialists, UAS has since grown to become the local authorised distributor of many automotive products Continental will be introducing three types of batteries of OEM quality here in Singapore in order to strengthen its portfolio for the independent automotive aftermarket here.
These will include enhanced flooded batteries specially developed for entry-level start-stop vehicles, as well as the more powerful absorbent glass mat batteries, designed for vehicles that make use of start-stop technology and brake energy recovery systems.
And for petrol and diesel vehicles without start-stop systems, Continental will also offer batteries that use conventional lead acid technology.
