Renault has announced its will be retiring the Megane RS with this, the Megane RS Ultime.
A total of 1,976 (the founding year of Renault Sport) examples of the Megane RS Ultime will be built. All of these will be signed by Laurent Hurgon, the Driver and Development Expert who set Megane RS records on tracks.
The Renault Megane RS Ultime gets semi-slick tyres, wrapped around 19-inch wheels that house Brembo dual-cast brakes Renault states that after this Megane Ultime, Alpine will soon take over the next chapters of the brand's motorsport story.

This unit delivers a peak torque of 420Nm, and is paired with an EDC gearbox, which conspires with a Torsen mechanical differential to launch the performance hatch from zero to 100km/h in 5.7 seconds.
Bridgestone Potenza S007 semi-slick tyres, as well as Fuji Light 19-inch wheels and Brembo dual-cast brakes with red calipers, meanwhile, will work with the Megane's lowered Cup chassis and 4Control four-wheel steering for control over twisty roads.
Recaro bucket seats in the cabin come upholstered in titanium black Alcantara and sport an embroidered RS monogram On the outside, you must have already noticed the addition of strips on the roof and bonnet, rear bumper, doors and fender. These come in Star Black, and contrast against the available Pearl Whit, Sirius Yellow, or Tonic Orange exterior finishes. A discreet '1976' also features on the right-hand side striping.
Adding to this showy finish are wider front and rear fenders, RS Vision head lights, a central exhaust, and spoiler and diffuser at the rear. The Renault Megane RS Ultime also gets its logos, door handles, window frames, and wheels, amongst other features, all finished in black.
In the cabin, the car gets Recaro bucket seats, complete with titanium black Alcantara upholstery and an embroidered RS monogram. Every model will also get its own numbered metal plate near the transmission controls, where Laurent Hurgon's signature will rest.
The Megane RS Ultime comes with a 9.3-inch navigation screen and a Bose speaker system. This is paired with a 10.0-inch digital cluster, RS Monitor on-board telemetry, and adaptive cruise control.
