The Mercedes-Maybach has unveiled a new S-Class, the S580e.
The Mercedes-Maybach S580e is the marque's first plug-in hybrid, a drive option which it states, perfectly compliments the car's already impressively quiet interior.
On the exterior, the car gets a concealed charging socket on its side, alongside new blue colour accents in the head lights.
And under the bonnet, the car is powered by a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine which delivers 362bhp. Combined with an electric motor, however, the total output of the Mercedes-Maybach S580e reaches a total of 503bhp and 750Nm of peak torque. The output gives the car a century sprint time of 5.1 seconds.
The car can charge its battery at a speed of up to 11kW via an alternating current source, however, charging via a direct current source at speeds of up to 60kW is also possible, which will bring the charging time down to just 30 minutes. The car has a claimed 100km of all-electric range.
