Mercedes-Benz has announced its Sindelfingen plant in Germany has produced its 22 millionth vehicle.
The car is question was an EQS, finished in Manufaktur hyacinth red metallic, and came of the production line at Factory 56 - the firm's zero-carbon facility designed to offer maximum manufacturing flexibility.
The Sindelfingen plant in Germany was founded in 1915, and has been responsible for manufacturing some of the firm’s most iconic vehicles, from the W120 'Ponton' to the 300SL. The site has also been the firm's centre of excellence, manufacturing its more prestigious vehicles ever since records began in 1946.
Today, models that roll off the production lines at Sindelfingen include not only the EQS, but also the S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, as well as the E-Class, GLC, S-Class Guard, and Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door.
