The playlist comes complete with tracks that fall within a range of beats per minute that has been found to aid dogs to keep calm And it isn't just a random mishmash of songs or sounds either. Happy Hounds has been, Skoda U.K. states, scientifically proven to ease car travel anxiety in dogs, thanks to the use of music that keeps to a certain range of beats per minute that emulates that heartbeat of puppies and small dogs to deliver a calming effect.
And the driver behind the wheel will be able to appreciate this playlist as well, with tracks including Harry Styles' Watermelon Sugar (chosen thanks to its velvety smooth vocals), alongside pieces from SZA, Rihanna, Bob Marley and the Wailers, and Adele all included.
Webb points out that dogs can become anxious in cars for many reasons. Beyond simply being in an unfamiliar space, your canine friend is also hearing unusual sounds from the road and weather. Excessively warm cabin temperatures, as well as previous bad experiences, and motion sickness can all also contribute to in-car nervousness.
