Jeep Singapore has officially launched the new fifth generation Grand Cherokee.
The Grand Cherokee is Jeep's luxury flagship SUV, one with 30 years of history and legacy. This new fifth generation model brings a hefty dose of refinement to complement the Grand Cherokee's fabled 4x4 off-road capabilities.
The cabin has been thoroughly modernised, featuring the Uconnect 5 system and even open wood pore trim
There is, of course, a new exterior design, built on a new architecture with a sculpted body style to improve aerodynamic efficiency and reducing noise, vibration and harshness. This is achieved with a lowered, tapered roof, which improves the car's aerodynamic performance and efficiency without compromising cargo spaciousness and utility
Inside, there's ample new equipment - a 10-inch head-up display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, all as part of the Uconnect 5 system. Of course, there's ample hauling capacity, thanks to a sizeable 1,067-litre boot, which can be expanded to a massive 2,004 litres with the rear bench folded.
Powering the new Grand Cherokee is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 268bhp and 400Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels, and the Selec-Terrain traction management system helps to ensure maximum grip no matter the road surface.
To ensure the safety of passengers and other road users alike, the Grand Cherokee also featuers a full suite of safety systems, including features like Pedestrian/Cyclist Emergency Braking, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection, Active
Lane Management System, and Intersection Collision Assist System.
