Hyundai Motor Company will be kicking off sales of the made-in-Singapore Ioniq 5 come 31 March 2023.

The car will be available in Singapore in a total of four exterior colours: Midnight Black Pearl, Titan Grey Metallic, Optic White and Magnetic Silver Metal.

The range now starts off with an 'Exclusive' trim car, which comes with a 58kWh battery allowing it to reach a 384km WLTP driving range. This specification will offer a total of 143bhp and 350Nm of torque. The zero to 100km/h sprint is completed in 9.5 seconds with this output.

Further up the range is the 'Prestige' trim car, which sets itself apart from the 'Exclusive' trim with its Signature Parametric Pixel Head lamps, a gloss black belt line and side mirrors, as well as chrome side body moulding.

The 'Prestige' trim car also gets Hyundai's Zero Gravity seats, upholstered in what it terms is Natural Leather, as well as an Augmented Reality Head-up Display in its cabin.

This car is also available with a Cat A COE eligible 58kWh battery and an output of 143bhp and 350Nm of torque. However, those looking for more power or range will also be able to get this 'Prestige' trim car with the larger 77kWh battery.

Opting for this larger battery will also mean you get a total range of 507km, alongside 225bhp and 350Nm of torque. This output will see the car completing the century sprint in 7.3 seconds.

And for those that want the best performance available, the Ioniq 5 is also available in the 'Inspiration' trim, which also comes with a 77kWh battery. This trim, however, will come with electric motors at both axles, allowing it to deliver a total output of 320bhp alongside a peak torque of 605Nm. This output means it can hit 100km/h from a standstill in 5.1 seconds. Total WLTP range for this trim is 454km.

This 'Inspiration' trim is the only trim that will come with the Bose premium audio system, as well as 20-inch rims as standard.

Charging time for the cars equipped with the 58kWh battery is claimed to be 47 minutes for a 10% to 80% state-of-charge top up, while the time to achieve this same top up for the cars equipped with a 77kWh battery is one hour and two minutes. Maximum charging speed for the Ioniq 5 is 350kWh via a direct current charger.

Those interested will be able to customise, order and apply for financing of their cars on the online customer purchase platform which can be accessed here.

The new online portal is also said to offer customers a finance plan simulation, and once set on their purchase, customers will also be able to deposit, apply for a loan, track their order status in real time, as well as select their own collection dates, all on the same platform.

Buyers will also be able to enjoy quick payment modes via PayNow - a first-of-its-kind option for Singapore drivers here. Moreover, through partnerships with various banks, a quick and hassle-free online finance process without paperwork can also be expected.

The Ioniq 5 will be offered here with a 10-year free EV battery warranty and 10-year free service programme at the EV-dedicated service centre at Komoco Motors. It will additionally come with a free EV home charger (including standard installation and extended warranty) or free charging credits.
