Porsche has unveiled the first details of the interior of the upcoming Cayenne ahead of its full reveal come 18 April 2023.

Porsche has unveiled the first details of the interior of the new Cayenne, ahead of its world premiere which is now set for 18 April 2023 at the Auto Shanghai show in China.

The cabin of the Cayenne will get what the firm terms as the 'Porsche Driver Experience', offering fully digital displays, versatile individualisation and intuitive operation.

12.6-inch digital and curved driver's instrument display will offer up to seven different views
These displays will comprise a 12.6-inch digital and curved driver's instrument display, a 12.3-inch central display, as well as a 10.9-inch passenger display. Numerous connectivity including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as integrated apps such as Spotify and Apple Music will available with the new Cayenne.

The driver's instrument cluster now makes do without a hood, as in the Taycan. Porsche states that the driver will be able to choose from up to seven views from this cluster.

The cluster will also be able to show either the rev counter, online navigation, Night Vision Assist or 3D driving assistance system in the foreground, although the more traditional will also be able to opt for a digital version of the Porsche-typical five-tube instrument cluster layout.

The centre console of the Porsche Cayenne will house a new air conditioning control panel complete with analog switches
Ahead of this cluster is a new steering wheel, which takes inspiration from the one now found in the 911. This multifunction sports steering wheel will now house the controls for the drive modes of the Cayenne, as well as a new toggle button for selecting functions and designs in the instrument cluster.

Over on the passenger side, a new optional touchscreen for the front passenger will be available for the Cayenne. The front passenger will be able to operate the vehicle's navigation settings or select media to be played via this screen.

It will also come with a foil that ensures that it cannot be seen from the driver's seat, so videos can be streamed on this display without distracting the driver.

The SUV also now houses its gear selector to the right of the steering wheel so the centre console now has additional storage space, and now houses a large air conditioning control panel.

The new Porsche Cayenne will also now come with two new USB-C ports in the front storage compartment and another two USB-C ports in the rear area of the centre console, with all USB ports offering enough current for fast charging.
